| The Center for Marxist Education was opened in Cambridge Central Square on January 1, 1973. It is a collective of workers, educators, and community activists that believes people must learn more to grow. The Center or CME is operated by an all-volunteer staff. Funding comes from the members of the working class who agree with the need for the CME. Classes, discussion and study group meetings, as well as cultural and special events, are scheduled throughout the year (Fall, Winter & Spring). Also a film series and a weekly Cable access show entitled: "Believe with BookMarx" on CCTV every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.. |
